The new generation of V8
In the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+, the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo has been taken to a new level of development. A new flat-plane crankshaft, a modified intake camshaft, and an optimised injection system sharpen responsiveness and allow the V8 to rev more freely and with more confidence. The mild-hybrid technology, featuring the integrated starter generator (ISG) 2.0 and the 48-volt electrical system, adds an additional 17 kW and 205 Nm, supplying additional torque at lower engine speeds. A revised exhaust aftertreatment system keeps the V8 ready for the future, while the newly developed AMG Performance exhaust system shapes its signature sound. With standard variable exhaust‑valve control, the exhaust note ranges from discreet restraint to full-bodied expression. The V8 remains the powerful heart at the core of this high-performance SUV.

Suspension
Assured control in every situation
The AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension system combines air suspension with adaptive damping, continuously adapting to every driving situation. This provides a high level of long-distance driving comfort as well as clearly perceptible cornering dynamics. The active roll stabilisation system, AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, comes as standard and reduces body roll, immediately compensating for body movements. To achieve this, sensors analyse driving manoeuvres and the road surface up to 1,000 times per second, while active electromechanical stabilisers on both axles respond with precise control. For poor road conditions or light off-road sections, the ride height can be raised by up to 20 millimetres at the touch of a button.

With the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programmes, the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+ can be precisely tailored to the moment: comfortable for everyday use, more direct in Sport and Sport+, and confident on challenging terrain. The AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system distributes power fully variably between the front and rear axles. The electronically controlled AMG rear axle locking differential, fitted as standard, distributes power precisely between the rear wheels. This delivers greater agility in corners, improved stability when changing lanes, and strong traction even under changing conditions.

Presence, refined
The redesigned front section of the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+ translates size into commanding presence. The AMG-specific radiator grille enlarged air intakes and exclusive LED light signature give the vehicle its unmistakable AMG face. At the rear, striking twin tailpipes and the characteristic diffuser design carry this design language through with purpose. Individual features come together in a commanding, cohesive appearance.

Great presence is defined by the finer details. Selected paint finishes such as MANUFAKTUR Mystic Blue metallic or Hightech silver magno, combined with the AMG Night Package II featuring dark chrome accents, add depth to the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+. Optional AMG light-alloy and forged wheel variants in sizes up to 23 inches further enhance its visual presence, from elegant understatement to a highly expressive performance look.

The performance-oriented cockpit is defined by refined Nappa leather Exclusive Style in black, macchiato beige, beech brown, complemented by AMG trim elements in carbon fibre or aluminium.
