UNCOMPROMISING PERFORMANCE
At the heart of the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ SUV is the thoroughly updated 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with a flat-plane crankshaft, an optimised fuel-injection system, and state-of-the-art exhaust aftertreatment. It delivers 450 kW (612 hp) and impresses with agile responsiveness, lively revving, and high efficiency – while complying with the required regulations worldwide. The integrated starter generator (ISG) 2.0, with 17 kW (23 hp) of power and 205 Nm of torque, further enhances the spontaneous power delivery. And the newly developed AMG Performance exhaust system delivers the characteristic AMG V8 sound. Thanks to standard exhaust valve control, the sound ranges from absolutely subtle to extremely dynamic.
In the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53, a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine with an output of 330 kW (449 hp) ensures an exhilaratingly sporty driving experience. In the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ with ISG, the engine delivers a further 17 kW (23 hp) of power and, with a brief 640 Nm overboost, provides additional thrust for 10 seconds. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ offers even more power with 430 kW (585 hp) and a maximum system torque of 750 Nm. What's more, with a range of 91–88 kilometres according to the WLTP, many journeys can be completed purely on electric power.

FULL CONTROL, ON-ROAD AND OFF-ROAD
Unlimited adventure: thanks to its fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the Mercedes-AMG GLE SUV offers optimum traction on any surface. In addition, the completely newly developed ESP® system ensures variable torque distribution and enables optimum traction in every situation. You gain additional stability through the newly developed AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with adaptive damping, which offers exceptional comfort whilst maintaining the high level of driving dynamics. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S comes with AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL roll stabilisation and an AMG rear axle locking differential as standard. These features ensure stable and precise handling at all times, both on and off the road.
The nine-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and the intelligent driving modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT deliver particularly dynamic driving pleasure across all models – for ideal grip, optimum off-road capability, relaxed driving or maximum power. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ adds two hybrid-specific driving modes: ‘Electric’ enables purely electric driving from standstill up to 140 km/h. In the ‘Battery Hold’ programme, the combustion engine and electric motor operate, in the same manner as in ‘Comfort’, with a maximum boost of around 25 per cent depending on the situation.

ELECTRIFIED POWER
Under the bonnet of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ sits a further-developed, free-revving EVO inline six cylinder engine with a displacement of 3.0 litres. Its turbocharged engine delivers 330 kW (449 hp) and provides a maximum torque of 600 Nm. The long-range plug-in hybrid powertrain makes an even more compelling performance statement: the 400-volt plug-in hybrid combines the six-cylinder engine with a 135 kW (184 hp) electric motor. The increased system output of 430 kW (585 hp) and the maximum system torque of 750 Nm unleash genuine AMG power, paired with a powerful, emotional engine sound onto the road.

At the rear, the newly shaped tail lights in a star design and the AMG-typical exhaust system with dual tailpipe trims deliver striking accents. The characteristic diffuser look of the rear apron further emphasises the dynamic, performance-oriented appearance and makes a clear AMG statement.
