Tested to the limits and brought to technical maturity in the "Green Hell" of the Nürburgring. The look: aggressive. The performance: unbridled. The goal: mastery of every driving situation. The new Mercedes-AMG GT R comes with the entire know-how from motorsport to put the perfect balance of aerodynamics, drivetrain and lightweight construction onto the road.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R was made for the ideal line. That is where it mercilessly exploits its phenomenal output of 430 kW (585 hp) and outstanding torque of 700 Nm. Connected to the engine by a carbon fiber torque tube, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission, with shorter ratios in 1st and 7th gears, guarantees the perfect transfer of power to the road.

Driving Dynamics

The Mercedes-AMG GT R makes the transfer of know-how from the race track noticeable in every driving situation. Some attributes speak for themselves: extreme lightweight construction with a high proportion of carbon fiber, AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with coil-over element, active rear-axle steering and metal uniball joints on the lower rear-axle wishbones. The AMG TRACTION CONTROL comes straight from motorsport. Adjustable to different conditions by the driver in nine settings, the system ensures optimal traction and power transfer.

Mercedes-AMG GT R – DESIGN.

The wider track at front and rear already testifies to the Mercedes-AMG GT R's racing roots. The deep front apron and forward rake of the radiator grille appear to press the vehicle onto the road. LED High-Performance headlamps, 10-spoke forged wheels and yellow-painted brake calipers emphasize the highly dynamic look. The cockpit, too, takes its inspiration from the world of motorsport. Standard equipment includes: extremely light AMG sports bucket seats, AMG Performance steering wheel in DINAMICA microfiber all-round and an instrument cluster with yellow highlights.
