The unique sound of the Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet is a pure delight. But sometimes it is also silence that counts. Therefore the noise levels with the top down are particularly low. The three-layered concept provides outstanding insulation from noise while maintaining the elegant design both inside and out. Even the opening and closing of the cover takes just 19 seconds, a speed worthy of a performance car.

The side design has an appealingly dynamic silhouette. The long engine hood and short break-over angle demonstrate that the Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet is a clear relative of the Coupé. The striking dropping line develops from the front wheel arch and accentuates the sporty line.

The exclusive forged wheels of the Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet feature an unusual, fascinating design: each of the 16 spokes runs in a special curve, so that the highlighted edges run to the center of the hub. The effect: the wheel appears to be larger than its actual dimensions of 8.5 J x 20 (front) and 9.5 J x 20 (rear). High-gloss ceramic polishing further adds to an exclusive look.

The distinctively contoured rim of the wheel is covered with nappa leather, and perforated leather covers the grip area. The trim features characteristic AMG lettering. Aluminum shift paddles are provided for manual gear shifting.

The 6.0-liter V12 Biturbo engine operates hand in hand with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 7G. This seven-speed automatic gearbox offers a wide spread of gear ratios for a significantly lower rotational speed. This contributes significantly to a reduction in fuel consumption. The fuel economy transducer, reduced-friction bearings, and gear oil heat management all increase power transmission efficiency significantly.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 7G features four individual driving programs, which can be selected using a button in the center console: Controlled Efficiency (C), Sport (S), Sport Plus (S+) and Curve. The additional program “M” allows manual gear shifting in a sporty driving mode.

The Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet features the AMG sports chassis based on MAGIC BODY CONTROL as standard. If ROAD SURFACE SCAN detects unevenness in the road using the stereoscopic camera, MAGIC BODY CONTROL adapts the chassis to the situation in advance.

The two modes, Comfort and Sport, allow the chassis to be personalized. The AMG-specific elastokinematics at the four-link front axle and multilink rear axle generally ensure greater directness in a dynamic driving style.

A perfect addition is AMG's electromechanical sports parameter steering with variable steering ratio. This increases the handling and agility of the car significantly, while driving safety is maintained at high speeds.

When the chassis is in Comfort mode, the AMG sports parameter steering is easy, that is, it offers a higher level of steering assistance. In Sport mode, on the other hand, the driver feels a firm, sporty level of steering assistance, which, combined with the sporty adaptation of the chassis, provides the driver with more direct feedback for agile driving on bends.
