The “Green Hell” is calling! Adam Christodoulou takes you for a ride at the famous Nordschleife, closely linked with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport history.
Like no other circuit, the Nürburgring is the epitome for fascinating motorsport, major achievements and unforgettable moments, but also for harsh defeats and bitter tragedies. As the world’s longest permanent race track, just the Nordschleife already covers 20.832 relentless kilometres. With 73 corners and a difference in altitude of 300 metres, it requires the full skill set and utmost concentration from the drivers.
In 2021, the circuit in the Eifel again hosts what is probably Germany’s biggest motorsport event: the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race Nürburgring. For Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, the goal in the 49th running of the endurance racing classic is clear: after 2013 and 2016, the next win in the 24-hour race with its long history is to be achieved.
Adam Christodoulou has a strong track record in 24-hour races to boast about: a pair of wins at the Nürburgring and one victory each at Le Castellet and Barcelona are just the absolute highlights of his career in motorsport. Since 2015, the Brit has been successfully supporting Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Teams in their race participations all over the world and has become a staple in international GT racing ever since. In the video, the Nordschleife specialist is taking you for a tour of the “Green Hell”.
