Where Driving Performance is Created
At the Affalterbach site, Driving Performance is masterminded; this is where the legendary engine handcrafting workshop is based, making 4-cylinder and 8-cylinder engines. The AMG vehicles are built in the production plants of Mercedes-Benz.
Set off on the virtual factory tour. Look engine mechanics over the shoulder, be a witness at a wedding in sportscar manufacturing, learn more about the technologies that make AMG body shells so special.
EQS 53 Final Assembly
Like all Mercedes-AMG road cars, the EQS 53 is built by Mercedes-Benz. It comes from Sindelfingen – to be quite precise: from their Factory 56. This facility embodies the future of production at Mercedes-Benz and sets new standards for the automotive industry – flexible, digital, efficient and sustainable.
GT Final Assembly
Spaceframe, transaxle, torque tube – visitors to this site will learn more about many specialties of the AMG GT. They will see things that are quite unique to this place: Here, you get a close-up view of the AMG sportscar's body shell; you are in the front row when the aerodynamical underfloor covering is mounted on the GT Black Series, and no visitor has been closer to the wedding before.
One Man, One Engine
For car enthusiasts, the engine handcrafting workshop is an almost magical location. This is where the legendary V8 engines originate; it is the only production site of the 400+ hp 4-cylinder engine. See for yourself how a mechanic creates an engine from hundreds of components, entirely by hand.
