      The W12 on its way out of the pit lane and into the action on the race track. Before leaving their garage, drivers must always wait for a sign from the lollipop man. They solely rely on a timely signal to enter the pit lane safely.

      Formula 1, together with the teams, is constantly looking for ways to improve the sport’s safety. One such breakthrough came in 2018, when every Formula 1 car was fitted with what now is referred to as a HALO. The secondary rollover structure protects the driver's head in the event of an accident and can withstand forces of up to 12.5 tons. Today, the HALO is an integral part of the monocoque. It is made of carbon fibres to provide the pilot with maximum safety at the lowest possible weight.

      [1] Weitere Informationen zum offiziellen Kraftstoffverbrauch und den offiziellen spezifischen CO₂-Emissionen neuer Personenkraftwagen können dem "Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO₂-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch" neuer Personenkraftwagen entnommen werden, der an allen Verkaufsstellen und bei der Deutschen Automobil Treuhand GmbH unter www.dat.de unentgeltlich erhältlich ist.

      [2] Die angegebenen Werte sind die ermittelten WLTP-CO2-Werte i.S.v. Art. 2 Nr. 3 Durchführungsverordnung (EU) 2017/1153. Die Kraftstoffverbrauchswerte wurden auf Basis dieser Werte errechnet. Stromverbrauch [und Reichweite] wurde[n] auf Grundlage der VO 2017/1151/EU ermittelt.

      [3] Alle Angaben sind vorläufig und wurden intern nach Maßgabe der Zertifizierungsmethode „WLTP-Prüfverfahren“ ermittelt. Es liegen bislang weder bestätigte Werte einer amtlich anerkannten Prüforganisation noch eine EG-Typgenehmigung noch eine Konformitätsbescheinigung mit amtlichen Werten vor. Abweichungen zwischen den Angaben und den amtlichen Werten sind möglich.

      [4] Gemäß WLTP. Stromverbrauch und Reichweite wurden auf Grundlage der VO 2017/1151/EU ermittelt.
