The two-digit model name, characteristic for Mercedes AMG, identifies this model as part of the AMG portfolio.

The fascination of motor racing in everyday life — the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC incorporates this combination visually as well. Dominating design elements are the AMG bodystyling, the light-alloy wheels and the special AMG badge on the front wings. They underscore the progressive nature and performance of the brand. The engine cover with red aluminum insert likewise visualizes the strengths of the new twin-turbo six-cylinder engine.

Numerous design elements lend the exterior an even more dynamic and athletic character. These include striking AMG bodystyling comprising AMG front apron with distinctively sporty air intakes with crisscross grille and silver chrome trim, AMG side sill panels and AMG diffuser-look rear apron with insert in matte iridium silver and 45.7 cm (18-inch) AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black with a high-sheen finish.
The two tailpipe trim elements with four-pipe look and black elements such as the exterior mirror housing, the beltlines and window weather strips round off the vehicle's dynamic look. The "BITURBO 4MATIC" badge on the front wings and the diamond radiator grille with chrome pins and a high-gloss black louvre with chrome insert indicate the sporty exclusivity of the exterior.
AMG Light-Alloy Wheels.
The sporty appearance of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC is further strengthened by 45.7 cm (18-inch) AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black with a high-sheen finish, with 225/45 R18 on 7.5 J x 18 H ET 33 (front) and 245/40 R18 on 8.5 J x 18 H ET 49 (rear).

Diamond Grille With Integrated Mercedes-Benz Star.
The dynamic, unmistakable front section is characterized by the diamond radiator grille with an integrated Mercedes-Benz star and a single louvre in high-gloss black, with chrome inserts and pins in chrome.
Sports Braking System.
The sports braking system features internally ventilated compound brake discs at the front and rear. Perforated brake discs measuring 360 x 36 mm are mounted at the front axle. The silver-colored four-piston aluminum fixed calipers with black "AMG" lettering give the braking system a high-quality and sporty character. The rear axle is equipped with a one-piston floating caliper and brake discs measuring 320 x 24 mm in diameter.
The sports exhaust system with two tailpipe trims in twin-tailpipe design sets optical highlights at the rear. It provides the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC with an emotional AMG typical sound that appears especially powerful while accelerating.
Optionally, the AMG Performance exhaust system is available. Two separate exhaust gas systems with two variably adjustable exhaust flaps are used to adapt the sound to the selected transmission mode. In addition, the sound characteristics can be changed at the press of a button. This allows a broad soundscape, from comfortable to highly emotive.
More space for dynamism.
Dynamism takes space. That’s why the interior of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Estate impresses as well with sportiness and exclusivity. Sports seats with AMG-specific seat upholstery layout and pronounced lateral support offer long-distance comfort and brace the passengers during dynamic cornering. A fitting complement to the sporty handling is the three-spoke nappa leather multifunction sports steering wheel with flat bottom. The convincing looks and touch and feel comes in part also courtesy of loving details such as red contrasting topstitching, the molded grip area, steering wheel paddle shifters and the silver chrome steering wheel trim.

The premium, sporty interior includes standard equipment such as the three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel, red seat belts and brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs. Sports seats in ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA, floor mats with red edging and "AMG" lettering plus red contrasting topstitching complete the high quality appearance of the interior.
The AMG instrument cluster with its two tube-design round dials and backplate with checkered flag design and the 13.97 cm (5.5-inch) multifunction display present all information clearly to the driver. The upper part of the dashboard and the beltlines in ARTICO man-made leather, controls in silver chrome and high-quality light longitudinal-grain aluminum trim add premium touches to the interior.
An even more comprehensive lighting system for the interior, and improved visibility of the vehicle itself, are guaranteed courtesy of the Interior Light package, with its indirect illumination of the footwells and handle recesses, LED rear reading lights or courtesy and warning lights in the doors.
The AMG sports seats in ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfiber with AMG-specific seat upholstery layout are not only implying AMG typical sportiness. More contouring and higher seat side bolsters at the front provide optimized lateral support and brace the passengers during dynamic cornering.
As an optional extra, AMG Performance Seats are available for the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Estate. The contouring of the side bolsters for the seat cushion and backrest offers superior lateral support, while the seat design gives the interior a sporty and distinctive look.
The instrument cluster, with its two large round dials and a central color multifunction display with a 13.97 cm screen diagonal, presents all important items of information in the driver's field of vision. There is a tube-look for the round dials, which have single glazing and a chrome frame. An ECO display helps the driver to adopt a particularly fuel-efficient style of driving. The speedometer is on the left and its scale goes up to 280 km/h, the rev counter on the right. The checkered flag-look for the dials and striking typography add an exceptionally sporty touch to the large displays. Bar graph displays for fuel level and coolant temperature respectively are positioned at the bottom. The color multifunction display shows the time and outside temperature as well as the gear stage currently engaged in conjunction with 7G-TRONIC PLUS at the bottom, while the trip counter, trip information, ECO display and the animated presentation of the driver assistance systems are located in the middle of the display. The different items of information available on the multifunction display can be called up and edited using the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel.

Thanks to a hefty torque curve the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Estate is agile, direct and dynamic. With the help of various AMG-specific drive programs, the driver is able to tailor the character of the vehicle to his or her personal preference. Especially, the "Sport+"program delivers impressive hallmark AMG dynamics and enhances the emotional appeal. The throaty engine sound — a hallmark AMG experience — also plays a crucial role in the most powerful V6 model: to this end, the engineers have developed a new sports exhaust system with lower back-pressure and reduced weight.

The new 3.0-Liter V6 Biturbo engine is part of the BlueDIRECT engine family from Mercedes-Benz. Technical advances including a modified boost pressure allowed the AMG engineers to increase the engine's power output and torque. With 270 kW (367 hp) and 520 newton meters the V6 engine sets new standards in its segment — which is evident in the convincing performance: a sprint time from zero to 100 km/h of 4.8 seconds underscores the sporty temperament of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC. With a combined fuel consumption of 8.1-7.9 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions of 185-181 grams per kilometer, the new top-of-the-line V6 model defines an absolute top position in the competitive environment.
9G-TRONIC With Shortened Shift Times.
Featuring nine forward gears, this automatic transmission takes dynamics, efficiency and comfort to a completely new level. Fast gear changes thanks to the AMG-specific tuning result in even better response and agility. At the same time, the 9G-TRONIC impresses with smooth, barely perceptible gear shifting like that of a continuously variable transmission. As the 9G-TRONIC is able to skip individual gears, multiple downshifts are possible for fast and powerful sprints. With the DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes "Economy," "Comfort," "Sport," "Sport+" or "Individual," the shift characteristics can be preset from highly economical to dynamic. In "Individual" mode, gears can be selected manually via the steering wheel gearshift paddles ("M" mode). The driver's shift commands are carried out with extremely short shift times. Drivers with a sporty driving style change gears similarly dynamically as in motorsport.
AMG RIDE CONTROL Sports Suspension.
With its adjustable, electronically controlled damping system, this steel chassis provides both sporty driving dynamics as well as brand-typical comfort on long journeys. The basis for this comes courtesy of a four-link front axle and a multi-link independent rear suspension. The AMG-specific kinematics and elastokinematics with newly developed components result in very high camber stability during dynamic cornering. The axial brake connection on the front axle supports agile, precise handling.
Using the DYNAMIC SELECT switch, the driver is able to manually adjust the choice of three suspension settings of "Comfort," "Sport" and "Sport+" — from highly comfortable to sporty and firm, for example for fast cornering. The damping system is continuously in operation. This improves driving safety and continuous-travel comfort.
The damping tuning is controlled individually for each wheel and is dependent on the driving style, the road surface condition and the selected suspension level.
AMG Sports Steering System.
The speed-sensitive steering provides power assistance according to the vehicle's speed. At high speeds the power assistance decreases, at low speeds it is continually increased. Thus steering requires comparatively less effort at low speeds, while an optimum control of the vehicle at high speeds is maintained. Furthermore, the risk of the steering wheel being wrenched out of the driver's hands at high speeds is substantially reduced. A choice of steering characteristics supports a sporty or comfortable driving style.
AMG PERFORMANCE 4MATIC.
The high-performance all-wheel drive developed by Mercedes-AMG combines optimum traction, the driving dynamics typical for AMG, and maximum driving pleasure. This is ensured by the clear torque distribution to the rear. In contrast to the standard model, the engine torque in the Mercedes-AMG C 43 is split at 33% to the front axle and 67% to the rear axle. In addition, AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive increases driving safety and traction on wet or wintry road surfaces. A multiple-disc clutch with 50 Nm blocking effect guarantees full realization of the road adhesion potential of all four wheels, especially on snow or ice. This basic concept enables high-traction values because it uses the dynamic axle load shift towards the rear axle, which occurs during acceleration, for adding additional drive torque to the rear. In addition to traction and transverse dynamics, the all-wheel drive also improves the longitudinal dynamics of the vehicle for even more dynamic acceleration.
